Long time professor of music at Saint Joseph’s College, Dr. John Egan, passed away on Sunday. Dr. Egan was a long time member of Rensselaer Rotary, a local civic organization, from 1963, where he was active in many local fundraising events, including Rotary International’s signature program, the eradication of polio from the world. Dr. Egan was also one the first founding board members of The Jasper Foundation, a local nonprofit organization that now connects residents of Jasper County and Newton County with causes they care about through coordinated investments and strategic grant making.
