Fire At Parr Elevator; Fire Chief Kenny Haun Comments

The Rensselaer Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the Parr Elevator, approximately 8 miles northwest of the city, around 615 Wednesday morning. Fire Chief Kenny Haun said around 40 firefighters fought the blaze and he thanked the various departments that were at the scene, for approximately five hours. There were no injuries. He gave an additional thank you to Remington Fire for the use of their aerial truck, while Rensselaer’s unit is being worked on.
